Restorative Practices

A collection of programs focused on creating safe and effective learning environments and educating youth about how they impact their community. Teaches skills in communication, anger management, and much more.

Restorative Practices, previously the Resolving Conflicts Creatively Program (RCCP), is a collection of PreK-8 SEL lessons integrated into language arts classes. With 16 lessons per year, the program aims to develop students' skills in:

  • Communication

  • Anger management

  • Negotiation

  • Mediation

  • Cooperation

  • Intercultural understanding

  • Standing up to bias


According to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), two randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with students in grades 1-6 found reduced conduct problems and reduced emotional distresss.
