Bully Busters

Intervention focused on educating teachers to prevent bullying. Recognizes both the bully and victim, while working to implement strong positive role models.

Bully Busters is a program aimed to helping educators recognize bullying and prevent violence. It focuses on:

  • Increasing awareness of bullying behaviors

  • Recognizing all involved

  • Addressing bullying behaviors and those targeted

  • Role of prevention

  • Teaching relaxation and coping skills


Program goals include:

  • Increasing student exposure to strong social role models

  • Reducing exposure to aggressive behaviors

  • Creating more positive school climate

  • Providing material to help facilitate classroom discussions that help students understand the factors and consequences associated with problematic social interactions

  • Social skills needed for conflict resolution
